FURTHER AFIELD
We support International Ministries of the Presbyterian Church in Canada through Presbyterians Sharing (PS) and by responses to special appeals of the Women's Missionary Society and by the local Presbytery.
This Spring we are also responding to an appeal by the Presbytery Evangelism & Missions committee to assist in gathering funds for air fare to reunite a young Sudanese Chrsitian with his mother in St. Catharines.
Our church school names annual projects such as the India village nursing program (2004) or the Ghana mission appeal (2005) or HIV/AIDS prevention in Africa (2006). On April 6, 2008 the church school mission day focused on Guatemala.
On April 29, 2007 we observed our WMS Mission Sunday with guest speaker Alex Danso from the Ghanaian PC in Toronto -- This year (2007/2008) the WMS ladies are doing the ecumenical study on Guatemala. We enjoyed the Guatemalan mission dinner in February in support of Presbyterians Sharing!
