Scottlea Presbyterian Church worship times:
EVERY Sunday at 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 come for our traditional Presbyterian service. Includes hymns, prayer, an informative and inspiring sermon and junior message! We now have the new hymnbooks too -- and some with large print! We are fully accessible. Church School is offered every Sunday during worship at 9:30. Our curriculum is 'The Whole People of God'. Nursery is offered on a 'needs' basis. On the fourth Sunday of the month the older children participate in worship and don't have classes. Your children are always welcome at church! On Communion Sundays, children are invited to the Lord's Table if parents wish them to partake of the Sacrament. Other children enjoy church school. Junior youth meetings have now changed for the rest of the school year. * Give us a call! Ages 12-16. We always look forward to meeting some new friends! * Please call ahead. Classes may also meet irregularly because of the adolescents' schedules. Join us in worship or for a class! Study Group: Last fall we & early winter we met on Friday evenings at 7 m. Every week was a different Bible theme -- Presently we meet Tuesdays at 10 am. Men's Drop In: every Wed. morning at 10 am. OUR NEWEST GROUP! Choir met every Thursday evening at 6:30 pm. New singers always welcome. FINISHED FOR THE SEASON. We would love to see you at choir next fall. No experience necessary! For information about any of the other regular activities at Scottlea church, call us or e-mail us. * We also have a men's breakfast on the fourth Sat. of the month at 9 am, a Young at Hearts (senior Ladies group) and a Women's Missionary Society group. There is an informal fellowship hour following every worship service. Care home worship -- open to everyone -- is also offered every last Tuesday of the month at 2 pm. year round at Tufford Manor. Other special worship times & places announced as they occur. VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL WAS A GREAT SUCCESS in 2009. THANK YOU TO ALL TEACHERS, HELPERS AND TO THE COMMUNITY! For 2010 we are working on a VBS program with teen leaders from Camp Kintail & with volunteers from St. Giles Presbyterian church. Theme: Be a HERO, Live like JESUS. July 12-16.
